Ten Second Review
BMW 420d Convertible Lease Review - If you just have to have a high-end cabrio but want to keep the cost under three digits, give the BMW 420d Convertible some serious consideration.
This entry in the 4 Series is 26mm longer and 43mm wider than its predecessors (and a touch lower to the ground, too), and the wheelbase is increased by 50mm. Those who’ve had the pleasure of driving it attest to the significant improvement in rigidity – no creaking or groaning in this model.
The hardtop takes only 20 seconds to fold up and the design has been refined to reduce cabin noise when the roof is down. The cabrio is roomy enough as a 4-seater although more roomy in front than back. Need cargo space? The rear seats fold down for extra storage.
The entry-level model is plenty powerful and the turbo diesel even more so. The series’ fuel efficiency is supported by the break energy recovery, stop-start engine, and the BMW Eco Pro mode. Mileage runs between 60-67mpg, average, and CO2 emissions range from 111-204g/km.
Plenty of luxury comfort as standards, agile handling, 5-star safety rating, and power combined with efficiency make the 420d Series convertible a worthy addition to your car collection.
