    Ten Second Review
Citroen C4 Cactus Lease Review - If you are looking for a vehicle with SUV qualities that will work alongside the plethora of urban hatchbacks, then the C4 Cactus is probably a good fit for you.

Starting with the style, this is designed to be comfortable for the passengers while still looking as much like a hatchback as possible. Its smooth roof compensates for the higher ground clearance and more rugged styling, but the rubber patches that make up the cactus’ spines are love or hate features that might turn you off this model. It helps that this rides just like a sporty hatch too, you get light steeping and reassuring grip in the corners, and the softened suspension means this will handle all but the highest sleeping policemen, who will give the car trouble.

Under the bonnet you get a choice between the strong HDi diesel and two worthy petrol engines, the choicest of which is the 1.2 litre 109hp turbocharged petrol engine, which its gutsy and works well in most environments, while its 80hp brother is a little more lacklustre. This is also much quieter than the diesel, which emits quite the gruff note on the motorway. Moving into the driver’s cabin, you get a very comfortable seat which leaves you with a good view of the road, while the kit around you will keep almost everyone happy.

Particularly worth highlighting is the touchscreen system, a 7.09 inch screen that control the USB/MP3 digital radio that also comes as standard, alongside cruise control. Upgrade to the Feel trim and Bluetooth and air conditioning complete the mix, while the body highlights and leather wheel give the car a luxury feel for the money. In the back you can comfortably fit two adults, and the boot is shaped for city use and is fairly large, although it doesn’t benefit from a 70/30 seat split as the rear folds down as a bench, reducing overall room.

Finally you get a decent safety package with six standard airbags and stability control as standard, but it falls down the rankings on theft protection, it won’t be stolen outright easily but it gains only 3 Thatcham stars for break-ins. This is a car that tries to bring a bit more rugged spaciousness to the city and certainly achieves that, and is a great drive to boot. A good choice for all buyers.
