    Ten Second Review
Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost Lease Review - With the Fiesta one of the hottest superminis on the market, this ecoboost model not only strengthens its green credentials, but increases the power and gives you plenty to enjoy in this smart hatchback. This is even probably the most desirable engine in the range, with 99bhp topping the average diesel and petrol counterparts while it feels more powerful than them all, despite only having three cylinders.

There is some vibration from the turbochargers which power up the 1.0 litre engine, but otherwise this is smooth and cheap on emissions, if averagely economical at the pump. One of the highlights of these models is the styling, both in and out. They both have the feel of a much larger car, with the smooth curve from headlight to tailgate adding plenty of headroom within while not differing too much from the classic hatchback formula. Opt for an ST model and you get plenty of sporting addition outside, plus some invisible but practical engineering options.

Either way, you will get a great ride out of one of these vehicles. There is always a sense of power, helped by the 2000rev limited engine, while the car grips the road with zero body roll and can turn on a sixpence. The beauty here is that Ford haven’t overdone things, suspension is firmed up but still very comfortable for the passengers, and this is still as practical as a family vehicle

It has 5 Euro NCAP stars and seven airbags, as well as 290 litres of bootspace which, while not market leading, should handle all but the family holiday. There is plenty of room in the back, again accentuating that big style/small car feeling, and even the ST model will carry 4 adults around in comfort. The Ecoboost starts in the Zetec trim option, and that’s probably where you can stay.

The titanium models have a more luxury feel, but you get those optional leather items in Zetec, along with air conditioning and heated seats, while your optional sat-nav will look pretty fancy in a cool but difficult to use infotainment system. This is still a driver’s car overall, and will be fun as soon as you get it to the open road, but works nicely as a town run-around and family cruiser if you need it to. A great jack of all trades, and the master of a few as well.

The new Ford Fiesta is a truly new model which is becoming something of a rarity in this market. With car manufacturers often just making small tweaks to their models and calling it a new version some consumers are feeling a little short changed. Well Ford has upped the game and actually created something that's visually different. In terms of engine size and performance you'll get much the same as before; but if it's a winning formula why change it? The new Ford is a fresh approach that has went down well with the public, creating yet another family favourite from the global car kings.
