    Ten Second Review
Volvo V40 Lease Review - Volvo’s foray into the hatchback market is led by their V40 model. However, on the evidence presented, it may be a while before the company really starts to compete against some of the better cars in the class. This is at least true when drive quality is taken into consideration.

The main problem the car has is a firm and uncomfortable drive quality. The suspension simply feels too rigid, which is especially noticeable if you aren’t driving on perfectly smooth roads. Even if you are, the gearshift is hardly the most awe inspiring in the world and the car lets in a lot of noise, both from outside and its own engine so even if you do happen to enjoy the ride, comfort levels still aren’t great.

Were the V40 does impress is with the quality of its engine, which runs beautifully and offers plenty of power for a high standard of fuel economy. Furthermore the car also comes equipped with a gorgeous interior. Volvo has given drivers a wonderfully high quality cabin, though this is again offset somewhat by a rather poorly implemented dash.

All told, you could certainly do a lot worse for a hatchback. The problem is that you can also do better, especially when it comes to the actual drive quality.
