Ten Second Review
Audi Q5 Lease Review - The Q5 is a mid to top range SUV performance vehicle, something that is growing rapidly in popularity in the UK presently. This vehicle is dynamic and can easily adjust to a vast range of terrains and driving situations. Having said that the focus for the Q5 is the road, it can handle off road situations but think of this as a secondary purpose. Unlike many SUVs the interior of the Q5 is absolutely beautiful, Audi have once again managed to balance performance and appearance in a way that gives much greater value than the competition.
Looking at the engine capacity and power output across the Audi Q5 range you quickly gain an understanding of where the German manufacturers are looking to go with this model. It's solid power and big capacity which is the name of the game. In petrol models you can treat yourself to a 2 or 3L engine which have varying power levels ranging from 178-268bhp so you can really have as much punch behind the pedal as you like. When looking down the more sensible and economical diesel options you again have 2-3L engine capacities to choose from with slightly lower power outputs of 141-242bhp. Keep in mind thought that although this is lower than the petrol versions in relative terms it is still a very powerful motor.
Handling is one of the most noteworthy features of the Q5 as it is able to be nimble and responsive like a small hatchback whilst maintaining the grandeur and presence of a larger SUV. When you're cornering or tackling rough terrain the level of grip and control is really noticeable, letting the driver know that this car means business and is not just a "for show" SUV. Steering is also quite light (but in a good way) keeping the car responsive despite the large power and torque levels it has.
The driving experience is also very quiet and soothing thanks to a well designed ergonomic body shape and dense noise insulation. Therefore even when you're going up to the top range engine sizes the roar won't cause too much of a distraction from inside the cabin. Road noise is also largely unnoticeable unless you're on a really obscure surface such as cobbles or gravel. So 5/5 for Audi in this category!
Inside the car the interior is classic Audi with soft cream furnishings and a level of attention to detail that delivers class right down to the stitching. A real quality build which gives drivers a sense of value for money on every single trip.
