Ten Second Review
BMW M235i Lease Review - The BMW M235i is the new M3, all the qualities that were once sought in the fun and friendly M3 are now firmly placed in this model. Anyone seeking a high performance coupe should look no further and get themselves behind the wheel of the M235i. It has some serious power behind it with a 320bhp engine and the option of automatic or manual transmission. With an entry price that isn't over the top this car is affordable for both purchasers and those who lease. Of course you also get classic BMW styling and an interior that is far above average. So when you add together all these perks it's really a great offering that you have before you.
This is bigger, meaner and faster than the 2 Series that we are used to. This is a 2+2 coupe is one of the best rear drive models that BMW put out, while the boys at the M division have put plenty into the engine and design to make this much sportier.
To start with this is a great looking car, the styling is spot on while there is an extra few centimetres of room both lengthways and widthways, with the entire car lowered 15mm to give that little bit extra. Combine this with a 3.0 litre turbocharged engine that has plenty of torque and this a very fast motor. Putting down 321bhp this will get you to sixty in under 5 seconds on average, while the gearbox is in perfect ratio and you will barely feel the changes as you rev up the gears with a classy automatic as standard.
This isn’t going to please at the pump, with a mere 37 mpg and plenty of carbon emissions to keep the tax man happy, but the roar of that straight 6 engine will soon put the costs out of your mind. Inside the cabin this matches up to that wonderful exterior, it is a class finish that is accentuated by metal trip parts up front, while the upholstery is part-Alacantara which is much more upmarket that the leather in the M 135i. This comes with slightly more legroom, you will easily fit 2 six foot adults in the back while it is perfect for a long cruise with the family as the ride is as comfortable as it is sporty. Also, opposed to the M 1s5i, you get equipped with all the kit you need, with DAB digital radio, Bluetooth, climate control and automatic wipers as standard, while at the back there is enough bootspace to fit an entire family’s luggage.
All in all this is a fantastic alternative to a hot hatchback, that provides a much better look and plenty of power while still proving to be surprisingly practical, and with a driving thrill that you won’t get anywhere else.
