Ten Second Review
Citroen Grand C4 Picasso Lease Review - This larger, tougher version of the C4 Picasso is the stylish upgrade to its five-seat brother, and comes up to the mark with a practical finish and some neat design touches. Starting with the exterior, this is what you expect from a modern cruiser with plenty of polish and small bonnet that makes it far easier to park. However, from the side the many window panels give it a somewhat cubist feel, far from its impressionistic namesake.
However, it makes up for this with a stylish interior to see into, and the larger windows do give it increased visibly over its peers. The entry level models still come with a stylish trim and great upholstery, while there is plenty of room in the back and middle with ease of access similar to Citroens other seven seaters, as the back seats slide and squeeze over to let you in. They stow with a single push and offer plenty of room in the back for people or property like a good MPV. Up front you have a high driving position and even the normal windscreen is sizeable, in the Executive with the panoramic sunroof you end up with a greenhouse effect surrounded by windows.
There is also plenty of kit, with the VTR+ the pick as it offers the standard Bluetooth and USB compatibility with dual-zone climate control, parkins sensors and digital radio, so the whole car can catch dad’s football on Five Live extra. Designed for the family, this is also plenty of high-spec safety options including blind-spot assistance and active cruise control.
Finally there is a wide variety to choose from under the hood, for every kind of driver. If looking for economy, the 1.6 e-HDi is a truly superb choice that comes in under the A tax band and hits 70mpg. A little more power for motorway cruising and you’re looking at the 2.0, only available in the blue Exclusive range but offering all the upgrades and extra kit you will ever need. This is a five star outing for an MVP, being practical, stylish, economical and safe, and one of the best vehicles around for a large family.
This vehicle brings some style to the MPV market, because as most manufacturers have found out it can be hard to make a big rectangular box look good. Citroen is well established for being a vibrant young brand producing car designs sought after by young professionals and style conscious buyers. This is definitely present in the Grand C4 Picasso; and the engine performance is pleasing too! With high fuel economy and a very high safety rating you're getting just that bit extra above the rest of the competition with this car.
