Ten Second Review
The Fiat 500X Lease Review - The classically Italian Fiat 500X subcompact crossover offers adults more comfort and a better driving experience than the 2-door Fiat hatchbacks.
It features a standard turbocharged 1.4-litre 4-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission; a 9-speed automatic trans is optional. Front-wheel drive is standard in all models and all-wheel drive is optional in in the 2.4-litre engine model.
The 500X generally handles well, even in slippery weather conditions. However, some reviewers found that the transmission took too long to downshift and seemed to spend excessive time hunting for the right gear (in low-speed/stop-and-go traffic). The ride is considered comfortable for a long trip or somewhat unsettled, depending on the reviewer.
Kit is not bad at the entry-level Pop model but go up the model scale and the comfort and tech levels improve.
The 500X has a surprising amount of cargo area given that it is a subcompact crossover. With rear seats up, the 500X has 18.5 cubic feet of cargo space. Fold the rear seats (almost) flat and cargo space expands to 50.8 cubic feet.
The Fiat 500X is stylish, handles well, gives a fairly quiet but firm ride, and may be the perfect scale down from larger SUVs and sedans. It’s worth a test drive, at the very least.
