Ten Second Review
Volkswagen Polo Review - Few companies can compete with Volkswagen when it comes to superminis and the Polo has already established its name amongst the top players in the field, attaining popularity practically everywhere it is released.

There is good reason for that too. For one, the car is amongst the most economical on the market, with its 1.4 TDI engine apparently being capable of a rather spectacular 80mpg. Some fairly conservative driving is going to be required to hit those levels, but even with a slightly lower number that’s still an impressive rate of fuel consumption.

With three and five door models available what you have here is the perfect car for the city life. It’s sleek, sophisticated and runs like an absolute dream. The design work, both inside and out, is slightly understated and all the better for it. This isn’t a car for the ostentatious, instead radiating a casual cool that comes from years of experience in the market.

In truth, Volkswagen don’t really need to do much else with the vehicle with its yearly updates, which is probably why we don’t see much variation each year. Alongside the likes of the Renault Clio and Ford Fiesta, the Polo is right up there in the supermini market and offers pretty much the total package.
