Ten Second Review
Audi TT Roadster Lease Review - All the way back in 1999 the Audi TT was first introduced to the market and it was an big hit straight from launch. Still going strong today, the TT is turning heads just as much as it did all the way back before the millennium. The car still has the same big presence and this is instantly recognisable in the smoothly sculpted side panels, rounded yet shapely front-end and at least 18 inch chunky alloys (19 inch if you're lucky enough to be driving the S-line model). One of the things that often sets Audi apart from competitors is the small details such as the hexagonal pattern on the front grille. Instead of just going for a fine mesh or a slatted pattern Audi goes the extra few steps and gives you something of real beauty. Just look all over this car and the same story holds true; attention to detail puts this car one step above the competition.
The drive of the car itself is also top class, although there's a whole new load of engine upgrades the new TT actually weighs roughly the same as its predecessor. Four wheel drive helps contain the massive engine power and gives you more than enough grip to the road when tearing things up. No matter what engine spec you opt from from bottom to top there's not one variation in the range that doesn't pack a punch. So if it's a combination of speed and high-level design you're looking for this new version of TT is definitely a choice worth considering.
One thing that needs to be mentioned here is the folding fabric roof. This is one feature of the car which really turns it from a good piece of engineering into a great piece of automotive technology.
Having said that this isn't going to be the cheapest car in the world to run. When you have such high BHP in the engine and heavy four wheel drive economy isn't going to be at the top of the "highlighted features" list. However the good news is that fuel costs are actually falling at the moment and so bigger cars like this are becoming more cost effective (at least for the time being).
